El Teatro Scivias fue fundado por Yamile Lanchas en Barcelona, España el año 2005. “Scivias” viene del latín “scito vias” que significa: “Conoce los caminos”.
Existen caminos exteriores para conocer el arte teatral: la investigación sobre el oficio a través de la práctica: el training físico y vocal, la creación teatral, la puesta en escena.
Pero existen también caminos interiores, misteriosos y únicos a cada ser humano que es preciso conocer.
Teatro Scivias busca crear las circunstancias para recorrer y conocer los caminos exteriores e interiores de cada ser humano y hacerlos converger en coherencia y armonía consigo mismo y con los demás.

Reportage Theater:
“The voice of those without a voice”

Agora Teatral Association directed by Yamile Lanchas will hold from November 28th to December the 1rst: The Second International Meeting of Performing Arts Research: “Vías”.
“Vías” (ways) is a meeting between young directors, actors, dancers and plastic artists of Europe and America that will take place once a year in Barcelona, Spain. In these meetings there will be an invited artist who will be the principal workshop leader that, over the 4 days work, will show us their way (vía) of creation. In every work session the artist will share with the participants technical and practical tools that will show, in a coherent way, their artistic- creative process within their discipline (theatre, dance, visual and plastic arts, etc)
The meeting will consist of 20 hours of practical work, a performance, a seminar and the presentation of the work of the participants of the meeting: Vías Convergentes: “Convergent Ways”
Guests will come from Spain, Argentina, Austria, Colombia, Italy, U.K. and the U.S.A, among others. Young artists with experience in their fields that have kept in contact through the Agora Teatral internet group or through different seminars, and during the last few years have been creating their own artistic projects, groups or associations. Amongst this group of participants there will be future workshop leaders for the following meetings. In this way, Vías proposes to provide continuity in the workshops that impart a clear process of enrichment and learning development over future encounters.

Spanish, English and Italian. Simultaneous translations into Spanish from both languages.

Workshop leader: Annet Henneman (Holland/Italy)

Annet Hennemann was born in Holland, where she studied at the Academy for Expression and Communication.She moved to Italy, Volterra, to work with L’Avventura, a Grotowski orientated group, and then with Armando Punzo in the high security prison of Volterra and creating with him the Cultural Association Carte Blanche.With Gianni Calastri, Annet has created the Hidden Theatre-Teatro di Nascosto, which in the last ten years has specialised in reportage theatre, telling the stories of people without voice, visiting, living together with oppressed people or poor people of Kurdistan, the homeless people of Rome and Calcuta, asylum seekers and refugees.The last Project is Refugees a residencial meeting of 100 MPs from different European Countries and MEPs working on common European Guidelines for refugees, with the participation of professional actors of the Hidden Theatre, Judith Malina and Hanon Reznikov of the Living Theatre and refugees of different countries.The 6th of June 2007 this reportage will be placed incide of the European Parliament in Brussels.Besides Annet still performs Donne coraggiose (brave women), she has directed City in War, a new theatre reportage with the participation of actors of Kirkuk.

The work will concentrate on the following themes:
• What is Reportage Theater?
• How to use theatre as a tool of work and reflexion in and for the society.
• Theater in war.
• Theater inside prisons.
• Theater with inmigrants, refugees:experiences and methodology.

Note: there will be simultaneous translation from English to Spanish.

.Participants to the Meeting

This workshop is directed at artists, performers, dancers, pedagogs, social assistants and all professionals working with theatre in a social context.

Some experience in the ability to work independently is needed, though the most important is your joy to investigate and bringing yourself along. In that way, participants must be prepared and willing to do intensive, sometimes challenging work, which needs a certain commitment.

La Asociación Agora Teatral dirigida por Yamile Lanchas realizará del 28 de noviembre al1 de diciembre del 2007 el II Encuentro Internacional de Investigación Artística, Barcelona 2007: “Vías”.

Tallerista: Annet Henneman (Holanda/Italia)

Annet Henneman nació en Holanda donde estudió en la “Academy for Expression and Communication”.Se mudó a Italia, Volterra, para trabajar con L’Avventura, un grupo orientado hacia el trabajo de Grotowski y luego con Armando Punzo,haciendo teatro en la prisión de alta seguridad de Volterra.
Junto a Gianni Calastri Annet creó el grupo “Teatro di Nascosto” (Teatro Oculto) que se ha especializado en los últimos 10 años en “Teatro Reportaje”:
contando las historias de gente que no tiene voz propia, visitando,viviendo y trabajando con gente pobre y oprimida del Kurdistán, los sin techo de Calcuta y Roma,prófugos, refugiados y asilados.
Su último proyecto es “Refugees” un encuentro residencial donde han tomado parte 100 personas de todos los países europeos, actores profesionales del “Teatro di Nascosto” así como como Judith Malina y Hanon Reznikov del Living Theater y Refugiados de diferentes países. Este año en junio este proyecto se presentará dentro del Parlamento Europeo en Bruselas.

Fuera de esto, Anett actúa su solo “Mujeres con Coraje” y ha dirigido “Ciudad en Guerra” un nuevo teatro reportaje con la participación de actores de Kirkuk.

Taller: Teatro Reportaje

Los puntos que se tratarán dentro del taller son:
• Qué es Teatro Reportaje?
• Técnicas y procedimiento para usar el teatro como herramienta de trabajo y de reflexión para la sociedad.
• El teatro en la guerra.
• Trabajo teatral en cárceles, con inmigrantes y refugiados.Experiencias y metodología.
El taller pretende dar a cada individuo herramientas concretas y experiencias que pueda llevar consigo y seguir desarrollando en su propia vía de investigación y trabajo.

Asistentes al Encuentro

Este taller está dirigido a artistas, actores, bailarines,pedagogos, trabajadores sociales, y todos aquellos profesionales de distintas áreas que utilicen al teatro como herramienta de reflexión y trabajo en la sociedad.
Es necesaria la habilidad para trabajar en grupo e independientemente, pero lo fundamental es desear y disfrutar de la investigación y entregarse al trabajo.
Es por esto que se solicita que los participantes estén dispuestos y preparados para hacer un trabajo intensivo y a veces exigente, que requiere de un alto nivel de compromiso.

Donne Coraggiose(Mujeres valientes)
Un espectáculo que presenta historias de mujeres valientes que que han intentado hacer cambios en sus países arriesgando su vida.
Son monólogos de mujeres que Annet ha conocido, algunas de sus canciones,las historias de aquellas que viven en la opresión y la guerra, la imposibilidad de olvidarlas, la gran injusticia de la manera como mucha gente tiene que vivir en este mundo.

Seminario
El día sábado 14 de Septiembre se realizará el Seminario sobre el taller y el performance, donde los participantes podrán plantear sus preguntas e inquietudes a Annet. Un espacio para reflexionar y hacer un balance del trabajo durante el Encuentro.Traducción simultánea del inglés al castellano.

“Vías Convergentes”
es un espacio único dentro del Seminario que brinda a los participantes invitados la oportunidad de hacer una presentación de su trabajo a los demás participantes del Encuentro, y al público invitado de Barcelona.
La presentación puede tener como máximo una duración de 15 minutos y es posible contar con multimedia (proyector, dvd, equipo de sonido, etc..) que se deberá especificar al enviar la solicitud de participación.

Jori, attrice e ballerina, ha lavorato intensamente in teatro fisico e danza per ben nove anni. Ha realizzato la sua formazione professionale in Olanda, Italia e Francia e da sempre ha lavorato come attrice freelance.
Dal 2000, Jori e collaboratrice come attrice del gruppo “The New Winds”, il cui direttore é Iben Nagel Rasmussen del Odin Teatret in Danimarca e con Enrique Pardo, directtore di Pantheatre (Roy Hart) in Francia, oltre al proprio lavoro di creazione ”Very short stories of creatures and their journey towards a home”. Ha esperianza in educazione e coreografie per adolescenti e adulti in progetti a medio e lungo tempo.

Stage di teatro fisico
Questo Laboratorio si centrerá in due elementi basici: tecnica e processo creativo.
- Si lavorerá sulla tecnica di movimenti basici del teatro fisico e la danza, che contribuirá a creare una consapevolezza maggiore sul linguaggio e le possibilitá del corpo (ogni corpo che é unico). Attraverso gli esercizi si focalizzerá la respirazione, il centrare e rassicurare il corpo e sviluppare esercizi di dare e trasmettere peso al compagno e alla terra.

• Attaverso il lavoro d’improvisazzione ci sará un avvicinamento ad un linguaggio molto piú personale e creativo: l’unica e personale maniera che ognuno ha per porgersi davanti al mondo.
• Attraverso la ricerca e ripetizione si creeranno strutture fisiche e vocali, con l’obiettivo di articolarlo in immagini chiare e precise, che sará la base del materiale personale per realizzare una performance.

Asistenti all’ Incontro

Questo incontro é pensato per artisti, attori, ballerini e tutti quei professionisti di diverse aree creative che siano profondamente interessati in esplorare la creativitá attraverso la via del corpo.
Il punto centrale dello stage sará quello di sviluppare il proprio e unico linguaggio artistico in collaborazione con gli altri.
Questo laboratorio vuole dare ad ogni individuo degli aiuti ed attrezzi concreti piú sperienze che possano diventare utili in futuro nello sviluppo delle proprie vie di ricerca.
É necessaria l’abilitá per lavorare indipendentemente, peró é fondamentale pure la volontá e godimento nella ricerca per cosí darsi pienamente al lavoro.
É per questo motivo che si richiede che i partecipanti siano disposti e preparati per eseguire un lavoro intensivo e forte che richiede tanto impregno.

Nello spectacolo si potranno aprezzare in maniera prattica gli strumenti ed elementi che si utilizeranno e lavoreranno nel laboratorio .

Uno specttacolo visuale di teatro e danza:
In questo spectáculo diverse creature ci conducono attraverso un mondo pieno di storie corte e strane, piene de humor e tante volte grotesche, che vengono narrate in una maniera giocarellona attraverso la danza, il teatro, mimo, poesia e con l’ uso di pitturas e oggetti pieni di magia.
Al tempo che melodie assurde estrane s’ ascoltano da un registratore, una mela gira attorno e ci conduce tanto alla tentazione ed a chiederci:
“Qual’é casa mia e dove appartengo io?”
“Uno spettácolo di teatro fisico di un’ emozione e virtuositá ecceezionali”.

Our first invited artist is Jori Snell.

Jori, actress and dancer, has worked intensively in physical theatre and dance for 9 years. She studied in Italy, Denmark and France, and has worked as a freelance performer/dancer since. Since 2000 she, amongst others, has collaborated and worked as an actress in the group “The Wings” directed by Iben Nagel Rasmussen from the Odin Theatre in Denmark, and with Enrique Pardo, director of the Pantheatre (Roy Hart) in France, along with her own work creating the piece “Very short stories of creatures and their journeys towards home” She has experience with teaching and choreographing adolescents and adults in short and long term projects.

Physical theatre workshop.

The work will concentrate on two basic elements: technique and the creative process.

• We will work on some basic movement techniques from physical theatre and dance, which will help to create a bigger understanding of the language and possibilities of the body/your unique body. Through simple exercises we focus on grounding, centering, breathing and playing with giving the weight of the body to the floor and/or to a partner.

• Through improvisation work we will open up to a more personal creative language, that is; your unique way of expressing.

• Through investigation and repetition we create personal physical/vocal material and aim at bringing our material into clearer pictures, which is the beginning of performance-material.

Note: there will be simultaneous translation from English to Spanish.

This workshop is directed at artists, performers and dancers that have an interest in exploring the body through creativity. The main focus will be on a further development of your own unique artistic language in collaboration with others.
The workshop aims at giving each individual some concrete tools and an experience to be carried on with in your own way afterwards.

In the performance many of the tools and elements that will be worked on during the workshop will be on display to be appreciated in a practical way.

A visual theatre and dance performance
In this performance different creatures lead us through a world full of their weird, humours and sometimes grotesque short stories, which are told in a playful, associative way through dance, theatre, mime, poems and with the use of magical pictures and objects.
Meanwhile absurd and funny tunes are heard from an old record player; an apple swings around, and leads us to both temptation and to the questions:
"What is my home and where do we belong?"

On Saturday 4th November a Seminar about the performance and the workshop will take place. Here the participants will be able to make comments and formulate questions to Jori. “Vías Convergentes” (Convergent Ways)

“Vías Convergentes” is a unique space within the seminar that offers the participants the opportunity to present their work to the other members of Vías and to the invited public of Barcelona. This presentation can last 15 minutes at the most and there is the possibility to count on multimedia (projector, DVD, stereo, etc) that will need to be specified in the registration form.

We have at our disposal a meeting room with a capacity for 45 people, a whiteboard and multimedia equipment.

Jori, actriz y bailarina, ha trabajado intensamente en teatro físico y danza por 9 años. Realizó su formación en Italia, Dinamarca y Francia y desde entonces a trabajado como artista free-lance.

Taller de teatro físico

El taller se centrará en dos elementos básicos: técnica y proceso creativo.
• Trabajaremos sobre la técnica de movimientos básicos del teatro físico y la danza, que nos ayudarán a crear un entendimiento mayor sobre el lenguaje y las posibilidades del cuerpo (cada cuerpo que es único). A través de ejercicios nos focalizaremos en la respiración, en centrar y afianzar el cuerpo y en desarrollar ejercicios de dar y tomar peso al suelo y con el compañero.
• Por medio del trabajo de improvisación nos acercaremos a un lenguaje mucho más personal y creativo: la forma única y personal que cada uno tiene de expresarse.
• A través de la investigación y repetición crearemos estructuras físicas y vocales ,con el objetivo de articularlo en imágenes claras y precisas, que es el comienzo del material personal para el performance.

En el espectáculo se podrán apreciar de manera práctica las herramientas y elementos que se trabajarán en el taller.

Un espectáculo visual de teatro y danza
En este espectáculo diferentes criaturas nos conducen a través de un mundo lleno de historias cortas y extrañas, llenas de humor y a veces grotescas, que son narradas de una manera juguetona a través de la danza, el teatro, mimo, poesía y con el uso de pinturas y objetos llenos de magia.
Mientras que tonadillas absurdas y extrañas se escuchan desde un tocadiscos, una manzana gira alrededor y nos conduce tanto a la tentación como a preguntarnos:
“Cuál es mi casa y a dónde pertenezco?”

Incontro Internazionale di Ricerca Artistica

“Vias” proporre una serie di incontri tra giovani direttori, creativi, ballerini, attori ed artisti plastici provenienti dall’Europa e dall’America,una volta all’anno.
In questi Incontri ci sará un espositore principale che durante 4 giorni mostrerá qual’é la sua “Via” o percorso di creazione, condividendo gli strumenti propri, siano pratici o teorici, attraverso i quali percorre la propria strada dell’arte dentro qualsiasi disciplina (teatro, danza, arti plastiche e visuali, ecc.)
L’Incontro durerá 20 ore di lavoro pratico e include uno spettacolo, un seminario e una esposizione del lavoro degli altri partecipanti del raduno:
Vías Convergentes: “Vie Convergente”.

Ci sará una serie di invitati provenienti, tra altri paesi, dalla Spagna, Argentina, Austria, Colombia, Italia, Gran Bretagna e Stati Uniti: artisti giovani con esperienza, che hanno sempre mantenuto il contatto attraverso la rete di Agora Teatral o diversi incontri e seminari eseguiti dentro il medio artistico, creando i propri gruppi, associazioni e compagnie.
I partecipanti di gruppo di artisti potrebbero costituirsi come i prossimi espositori negli Incontri in futuro.
L’obiettivo di VIAS é creare un gruppo interdisciplinare di ricerca artistica con una continuitá che ofra un ricco processo di arricchimento e la possibilitá di imparare nuove tendenze nello sviluppo degli Incontri futuri.

International Meeting of Performing Arts Research

“Vías” (ways) is a meeting between young directors, actors, dancers and plastic artists of Europe and America that will take place once a year in Barcelona, Spain. In these meetings there will be an invited artist who will be the principal workshop leader that, over the 4 days work, will show us their way (vía) of creation. In every work session the artist will share with the participants technical and practical tools that will show, in a coherent way, their artistic- creative process within their discipline (theatre, dance, visual and plastic arts, etc)
The meeting will consist of 20 hours of practical work, a performance, a seminar and the presentation of the work of the participants of the meeting: Vías Convergentes: “Convergent Ways”
Guests will come from Spain, Argentina, Austria, Colombia, Italy, U.K. and the U.S.A, among others. Young artists with experience in their fields that have kept in contact through the Agora Teatral internet group or through different seminars, and during the last few years have been creating their own artistic projects, groups or associations. Amongst this group of participants there will be future workshop leaders for the following meetings. In this way, Vías proposes to provide continuity in the workshops that impart a clear process of enrichment and learning development over future encounters.

Vías: Encuentro Internacional de Investigación Artística

“Vías” propone una serie de encuentros entre jóvenes directores, creadores, bailarines, actores y artistas plásticos de Europa y América, que tendrán lugar una vez al año.
en estos Encuentros habrá un tallerista principal que a lo largo de 4 días nos mostrará cuál es su “vía” de creación, es decir, compartirá herramientas prácticas y teóricas a través de las que compartirá su proceso artístico- creativo dentro de su disciplina (teatro, danza, artes plásticas y visuales, etc...).
El Encuentro constará de 20 horas de trabajo práctico,un Espectáculo, un Seminario y la exposición del trabajo de participantes del Encuentro:
Vías Convergentes.

Habrá una serie de invitados provenientes, entre otros, de España, Argentina , Austria, Colombia,Italia, ReinoUnido y U.S.A.
Artistas jóvenes con experiencia, que se han mantenido en contacto a través de la red de Agora Teatral o por medio de seminarios y que llevan algunos años dentro del medio artístico creando sus propios proyectos, compañías y Asociaciones.
Este grupo de artistas pueden ser los futuros talleristas en próximos encuentros.
El objetivo de Vías es crear un grupo interdisciplinario de investigación artística con una continuidad que brinde un claro proceso de enriquecimiento y aprendizaje grupal a lo largo de los futuros Encuentros.
